When to Call 911
Dial 911 for emergenices involving immediate threats to life, property, or public safety, including:
- Medical emergencies
- Fires
- Crimes in progress
- Car accidents
- Anytime a life or lives are in danger

When not to call 911:
Do not call 911 if there is no immediate threat to life, safety, or property, or if the situation can be resolved safely through other means.
Avoid dialing 911 for the following non-emergencies:
Loud music or parties
Barking dogs or dogs running loose
For a copy of police report
For telephone numbers
